Might I add that I strongly support the plans for an applied research centre for biotechnology in Dundee to bridge the gap between the academic and commercial biotech sectors. Several Mid Scotland and Fife MSPs, including me, were extremely impressed when, recently, we visited the University of St Andrews for the day.
