What is harder to evaluate is a different culture around how we use resources, which is about really understanding what will make a difference to individuals’ lives. It is all those things together that make our work very complex.
Connect has called for "Parent Councils and schools to work together to support families living in poverty as much as they are able, to mitigate where possible the impacts on learning which are the result of poverty".

Down's Syndrome Scotland reported that the quality of care for patients with Down's Syndrome often varied depending on where they lived and who was supporting them.iiDown’s Syndrome Scotland.
Any reduction in national income could have a disproportionate effect on those living in disadvantaged areas. We have a keen interest in health inequalities and we would be grateful if the Scottish Government could advise what they see as the potential impact of Brexit in relation to this and how they plan to respond to that.
