COSLA’s submission estimates that only 30% of local government funding is entirely subject to local flexibility “over the past few years” and 70% is directed spend.
Alongside that, since 2018, almost 600 employers in the sector have accessed the flexibleworkforcedevelopmentfund. We have a range of initiatives under way, but of course I recognise that there is more to do.
