Other local authority areas are in the same position and MSPs regularly make representations to me on relocating jobs to their areas.Historically, it is true that a good number of bodies have been relocated into the central belt.

We do not hear the words "viable" and "sustainable" in relation to the MSP pension scheme. After just eight years' service, we are entitled to £8,000 a year.

We intend to have another demonstration in the next six to eight weeks and we invite committee members to attend that so that they can ask questions about access, access to information, how the count works and how it will be displayed. Potential councillors and MSPs will thus have seen it for themselves if we decide to use the system.

It is interesting that the Parliament will debate developments in social work this week, which is one area in connection with which I, in my capacity as a constituency MSP, have heard people talking about resources for children and families teams or for justice teams.
