In fairness to colleagues from all parties, MSPs have made repeated representations about the service in both the current parliamentary session and the previous one.
Perhaps unusually, the Ochil constituency has had different MSPs in each of the three sessions. It is also unusual that the first, Dr Richard Simpson, re-entered Parliament as a list MSP at the most recent election.
In the earlier part of the meeting Jayne Baxter made a point about the important role that MSPs play. MSPs and councillors are in the community—they talk to people in the supermarket and in the street.

In a number of cases they have grossly exaggerated situations to make a point, to the extent that the comments of the MSPs concerned could lead to serious and unnecessary alarm on the part of ordinary people.
The debate highlights the wealth of history, scenery, culture and people that Scotland has in abundance. Any one of our 129 MSPs could speak at length about what their area has to offer, and I will play my part by highlighting Dundee’s many attributes and attractions.

However, to be fair, since 1999 the percentage of women among Tory MSPs has improved, overtaking the SNP, which is going in the opposite direction, on a downwards slide towards the Liberals' poor percentage of women.
