To ask the Scottish Government how many written parliamentary questions were answered (a) within and (b) after the due date, in each month since July 2021.
In our submission to the infected blood inquiry, we made the point that, in this day and age, you should be able to get your medical records electronically. I can access my bank account on my phone—every transaction—and yet we live in a situation where you have to ask for your medical records.
What more can the Scottish Government do in conjunction with councils to increase the provision of childcare across Scotland and to address specific concerns, including the need for summer holiday childcare for school-aged children and the need for childcare in Edinburgh because school finishes at lunchtime on Fridays?
For example, the citizens assembly wants Scotland to “ethically invest in our society by ensuring everyone has a central bank account provided at birth for every citizen” and that the account should be “contributed to on a regular basis throughout a citizen’s lifetime by means of a Universal Basic Income”.
However, we have concerns about certain areas of the bill. The first is the fact that the date of the next revaluation is set at 2022, which leaves a five-year gap since the last one.
