To ask the Scottish Executive what action it will take to meet the 2007 SNP manifesto commitment to create a fairer deal for primary producers. We are currentlyestablishing a new and improved working relationship with all the majorsupermarkets with stores across Scotland.
To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to introduce marketing grants for the veal industry to help primary producers and processors develop outlets for their products, thus helping to ensure a local market.
It is unfair to say that a producer would sit back and allow a retailer to have a 37.5 per cent increase in profits while the producer received nothing.
