The Scottish Government does not promote one particular feeding regime over another. The method by which dairy producers feed their animals is a matter for the farmer to determine.
Maintaining economic activity in remote areas and maintaining capacity to produce food are public goods that deliver social, economic and environmental benefits.
We are currently lookingat the details of abolishing the student loans and replacing them with means testedgrants. As part of this we will produce detailed costings of these prospects indue course.
