Most recently, options for service development were discussed with Braemar Community Council and local MSPs at a meeting on 24 October. In addition, discussions are progressing with Grampian Fire and Rescue about the possibility of calling on the retained Fire Service in Braemar to act as First Responders.

I was pleased when, at fairly short notice, I was able to recruit the Deputy Minister for Enterprise and Lifelong Learning at the time, Allan Wilson; the then convener of the Enterprise and Culture Committee, Alex Neil; and Alex Fergusson, who was not Presiding Officer at the time, but was the MSP for Galloway and Upper Nithsdale.

I seem to be working harder than I have ever done as, besides my MSP duties, in the morning or evening most days I have to care for my parents, who are 91 and 92 and are still in a house that would be rather big for them if I was not around.
