In correspondence with the Presiding Officer, the Scottish Government explained that the 28-day rule cannot be met due to the speed with which the new legislation is being introduced and because amending regulations are required to ensure that the forms reflect all eviction grounds on the date on which the 2022 act comes into force.

(3) Regulations under this section may make different provision for different purposes or areas. 25 (4) Regulations under this section are subject to the negative procedure. 6 Commencement This Act comes into force on the day after Royal Assent. 7 Short title The short title of this Act is the Coronavirus (Discretionary Compensation for 30 Self-isolation) (Scotland) Act 2022.
