We have invested £50 million in the Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013 to give disabled people greater control over their lives, and when the Tories cut the independent living fund, we created our own fund and put extra money into it.
Although that progress has been achieved in Scotland, there are far too many countries around the world where LGBTI people continue to live in fear of their lives. It is hugely disappointing that the UK Government now appears to be intent on attacking human rights in the way that it has indicated.
As part of that programme, we are further promoting the living wage across all sectors and delivering on our commitment to providing 600 hours of free childcare for three and four-year-olds and eligible two-year-olds.
Last month, I hosted an awareness-raising event in Parliament by Breast Cancer Care Scotland, which mentioned the difficulties that people living with cancer often have in accessing services.

Her response is as follows: In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, SPS introduced a number of significant restrictions on prison regimes to protect the health and well-being of all those who live and work in our prisons. These restrictions have impacted on the number of Purposeful Activity (PA) hours that each establishment has been able to deliver.
In order to promote people’s ability to self-isolate when necessary, financial support is being significantly expanded to include all workers earning the Real Living Wage or less, as well as those in receipt of a council tax reduction because of low income.
