You have answered a lot of the questions that I was going to ask. I am an MSP for the Highlands and Islands. I have been using CalMac all my life—I can even remember the days when I used to have to climb down a rope ladder to get on to the ferry to go to Coll.

I declare an interest, as I am a farmer. I suspect that I am the only MSP to have had animals slaughtered under the Government's suspect contiguous cull policy.The reason for this debate and the need for our call for a public inquiry are obvious, following the previous disaster to hit farming—BSE.
