The transport proposals and policies within Low Carbon Scotland: Meeting the Emissions Reduction Targets 2010-2022 were published in March 2011 following a series of workshop discussions with stakeholders in June and July 2010 on a long list of potential devolved policy measures, including demand-side regulatory measures.

The total number of motorists caught and issued with a Notice of Intended prosecution for exceeding the speed limit by the average speed camera system during the period from the beginning of November 2011 to the end of March 2012 is just over 3,300. The average speed of traffic travelling through the enforced area was 39 mph over the same four month period....

The Scottish Government, Sustrans and South Lanarkshire Council are jointly funding the creation of a £1.5 million off-road cycle path between Larkhall and Hamilton, due for completion by March 2013. The Uddingston to Hamilton section is completed.
