However, I recognise the frustration that many such students might feel. I know that North East Scotland MSPs such as Nigel Don have been proactive in contacting the NHS and the university to try to find a resolution that meets the students' needs.

Section 6 currently requires that a compliance form stating that the cross-party group will comply with the rules on cross-party groups must be signed by an MSP office bearer of that group. In the current session, all such forms have been signed by the conveners of groups.

I can confirm that, last week, Highland MSPs met the deputy chief constable and the chief superintendent of Northern Constabulary, who both confirmed that Northern Constabulary had not been consulted on the proposed closure of Aberdeen forensic laboratory.

I think that, rather than considering the best interests of patients, a load of medical axes were being ground. Obviously, as a north-east MSP, I am privy to the same briefings that Brian Adam gets from the health board and so on, and it is clear to me that there is strong support for retaining the four-unit model.

The Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Tourism has met textile industry representatives to discuss the latter point. I say to the local MSPs who visited the factory that the PACE team is aware of the situation and has met management.
