I am sure that the cost of the project is already incredibly large, and it will have an opportunity cost for all the other transport projects that every MSP wants to see happen. Cutting costs is therefore an important consideration.

I thank you both for those comprehensive responses. As a Glasgow MSP, I am obviously most interested in Glasgow, which has the highest proportion of people from minority ethnic communities.
