*S6M-06149 Gillian Mackay: Scottish Football Association Marks 150 Years of Scotland’s National Game—That the Parliament acknowledges that the Scottish Football Association will kick off a calendar of events to celebrate 150 years of Scotland’s national game; notes that over the next 18 months a series of special events will be held over Scotland to mark the 150 years since the first international football match, the founding of the Scottish FA and the first season of the Scottish Cup; further notes that the Scottish FA has revealed the 150th Commemorative Crest, inspired by the original association crest of 1873, which is symbolic of the multi-faceted history and heritage that will be celebrated globally, internationally and domestically in 2023 onwards; understands that the crest was unveiled alongside a new website that will celebrate 150 years of Scottish football; further understands that the Scottish FA has also released a unique video showcasing the historical moments of Scottish football over the last 150 years, as well as hosting a special exhibition, Milestones, in the Scottish Football Museum based in Hampden Park, and wishes the Scottish FA success in all the upcoming special events over the next 18 months.
