That was unfortunately short notice, as we were unable to apply in time to the conveners liaison group, which needs six weeks' notice. It turns out that MSPs are the only group of politicians to be absent from that major conference on the CFP.

We may still want to appoint lead members to carry the inquiry through, but I suspect that, considering the time scale and members' commitments, we may not want to leave work of that scale too much in MSPs' hands.
