Preventative spending in Scotland - Conclusions and next steps
The outcomes of The Scottish Government's budget-tagging pilot will be critical for determining the direction of action around the shift to preventative approaches in future policy and funding allocations. Once there is a baseline figure for preventative spending, there is an expectation that the Scottish Government will be better able to formulate plans to develop it further and work towards delivering its policy objectives from the National Performance Framework and other documents.
