It has been estimated that 80 per cent of deaths from malignant melanoma are preventable, either by sun avoidance or by early diagnosis. In each MSP's constituency, 150 people each year will be diagnosed with skin cancer; however, for the past two decades, our Government has not fully addressed the rising epidemic.
