Children (Equal Protection from Assault) (Scotland) Bill
The Children (Equal Protection from Assault) (Scotland) Bill is a Members Bill, promoted by John Finnie MSP.
There is clearly a demand from clan groups around the world to come to Scotland, in quite big numbers if one gets the marketing and lead time right, and they can be accommodated in various parts of Scotland.
There is a strong direction in the Bill in favour of special measures for those vulnerable parties who would have been deemed vulnerable witnesses (had these been evidence-taking proceedings).There is more discretion for the court for other categories of vulnerable party.ivVictims, Witnesses, and Justice Reform (Scotland) Bill, section 33, which would repeal section 8 of the Children (Scotland) Act 2020 and insert sections 22F-G into the Vulnerable Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2004.Children's hearing system casesvChildren (Scotland) Act 2020, section 4, which inserts section 11A into the Vulnerable Witnesses (Scotland) Act 2004.
Furthermore, out of the 200+ members none have heard of or been signposted to these sites by any medical practitioners and have not heard of NHS Right Decisions either. Why is none of this shared more publicly within GP practices, hospitals, etc?
