To ask the Scottish Executive what progress has been made to increase the availability of fresh, nutritious and locally produced food, particularly in areas of deprivation, as promised in the 2007 SNP manifesto.
However, at a time when the global trends are potential food shortages and rising food costs, food producers in Scotland have an opportunity to receive a greater return for the food that they produce.
