If we are to build consensus on the economy over the long term, forum membership should include MSPs from all sides of the chamber. I am not convinced that it would be helpful to have MSPs on the forum.

To ask the Scottish Executive what the timescale is within which its agencies should respond to enquiries from MSPs. The Scottish Government and its agencies are expected to respond to all enquiries, including those from MSPs, within 20 working days.

As I made clear in my statement, under the MSP code of conduct it is entirely permissible to take an active role in an issue in another constituency where one has the agreement of the relevant constituency MSP.
