Yes—it would not take much slippage on the current forecast date for us to be halfway through the next session of Parliament before we have an energy strategy.
To be fair to them, the committee has issued an invitation to them and we are in negotiations about a date. They are not here today because it did not suit their diaries, for balance.

As has been said, last week the committee discussed food banks with key stakeholders. I note that that discussion explored concerns about the significant increase in the numbers of people who use food banks.
Although we welcome the additional funding that the Scottish Government has allocated to date, there needs to be more. Last week, Scottish Labour called for the underspend to go towards funding local authorities, but that was dismissed by SNP ministers.
I say to Pam Duncan-Glancy that, by many indicators, the Scottish economy is performing better. If we look at the recent Royal Bank of Scotland report, we see that the Scottish economy is the stand-out performer of the United Kingdom.
