The Scottish Government has been working actively and with much vigour over the past few days to try to ensure that we support aid getting to Ukraine in the best possible way.
We anticipate bringing forward new conditions for the suckler beef support scheme to reduce emissions from that sector, and some underpinning elements across all of agriculture to help to get businesses ready to baseline their activities.
That alone is not the solution; we need to ensure that the data drives awareness and activities. We need to get the data and embed some of it, potentially in climate assemblies and local discourses.
It is helpful to hear what is going on in that space and about the recognition that there needs to be activity to keep people engaged in thinking, “Oh yeah, public service is a sector I want to get into as a career path.”
Nothing in his statement yesterday reassured the public or Parliament that things will get better. Staff, patients and their families not only deserve more from the Government; their health actively depends on it.
Not having a GRC does not stop me from carrying out my day-to-day activities (job, sports, etc.). I might want to get one eventually, but it is not worth the hassle at the minute.
