Supported by: Joan McAlpine*, Bill Kidd*, David Torrance*, Richard Lyle* *S5M-13609 Richard Lyle: Retirement of Paul Jukes, Chief Executive of North Lanarkshire Council That the Parliament understands that Paul Jukes, Chief Executive of North Lanarkshire — Council retires on 5 September 2018 after 31 years of service to both Motherwell District Council and North Lanarkshire Council and all of their communities; notes that Paul joined the council as Assistant Director of Leisure Services in 1987 and was subsequently appointed Director of Community Services in 1999; further understands that he was appointed as the Executive Director of Regeneration and Environmental Services following council reorganisation in 2007, before taking up the Chief Executive post in 2015, which resulted in him becoming Chief Policy Officer to the fourth largest local authority in Scotland; believes that Paul has made a significant contribution during his time at North Lanarkshire Council, thanks him for his work and wishes him all the very best for a long, happy and healthy retirement, and extends its best wishes to Des...
