In April, the Scottish Youth Parliament, in association with YouthLink Scotland and Young Scot, produced a report called “Lockdown Lowdown—what young people in Scotland are thinking about COVID-19”.
Although they will be looking forward to greater interaction, many in the shielded category will also be anxious and nervous about that. We have produced and will continue to produce guidance in that regard.
I am also grateful to colleagues on the Parliament’s Equalities and Human Rights Committee, from whom we have heard, for producing such a thorough and thoughtful stage 1 report.
Most of all, I thank the committee members—those who are presently on the committee and previous members—who worked hard to produce the report. The committee began its scrutiny of the bill during the spring of this year.
I am just suggesting that you have—understandably, I think—laid considerable stress on ACEL as the measure that will produce enough data to tell us what is happening.
