Concerns were also raised about potential restrictions on churches and schools within a safe access zone arising from the implementation of the Bill. History of Assisted Dying Legislation in Scotland
This is the fourth attempt to legislate for assisted dying and the third Bill to be introduced in Scotland.
The Bill also aims to support rights holders, including disabled people, to access remedy where their rights are not upheld, and establish a multi-institutional model of human rights accountability in Scotland.
