I assure you that the theme was not suggested by MSPs; business organisations pushed for it.I agree that the title is not the most desirable that we might have.
The major exception to that role as a constituency MSP is that because I am First Minister I have been advised to make no public comment on the development, in case it is interpreted as being in favour of or against the development.
A lesser ill-health retirement pension will be available for those who are assessed as unable to perform their duties as an MSP but who could carry out employment of a different nature.
