This report sets out the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee's consideration of the Wild Animals in Travelling Circuses (Scotland) Bill at Stage 1.

The key legislation in relation to contact, residence and Parental Responsibilities and Rights (PRRs) is the Children (Scotland) Act 1995 (the 1995 Act), and orders on these issues are made under section 11 of this Act.
We have therefore begun our planned review of our national anti- bullying guidance, Respect for All, in partnership with respectme, Scotland’s national anti-bullying service.
The realities are illustrated in England by the fact that, despite reforms to defamation law a decade ago (Defamation Act 2013) similar to those recently introduced in Scotland’s 2021 Act: a. It is very common these days to rely on claims other than defamation.
The Scottish Government’s vision for this strategy, known as the National Strategy for Economic Transformation (NSET), is to deliver a wellbeing economy for Scotland.
The Scottish Government define a wellbeing economy as “a society that is thriving across economic, social and environmental dimensions, and that delivers prosperity for all Scotland's people and places”.
It states:
The protective role of geodiversity, geomorphological and natural features such as kelp beds, biogenic reefs and sandbanks should also be considered alongside opportunities for recovery and enhancements.
“Scotland’s colleges 2023” The main item on our agenda is further consideration of the Auditor General for Scotland’s briefing, “Scotland’s colleges 2023”.
