In response to concerns raised by animal welfare groups and a petition PE1671 to the Scottish Parliament calling for a ban on the sale and use of glue traps, the Scottish Government sought advice from the Scottish Animal Welfare Commission (SAWC). On 23 March 2021, the SAWC published a report on the use of rodent glue traps in Scotland.
