We announced on 19 February 2019 that we had delivered on our Economic Action Plan pledge to increase the number of Scottish Government construction contracts to which Project Bank Accounts (PBAs) can be applied. The Bill requires Health Boards to follow a common staffing method when determining staffing in specified health care settings, this includes the use of staffing level and professional judgement tools and takes into account local context and clinical advice to identify the workload required to meet the needs of patients.
In our system, a re-determination means that Social Security Scotland will make a fresh determination carried out by a different officer, taking any new evidence into account, which replaces the earlier determination.
NHS Information Services Division (ISD) of National Services Scotland produces quarterly hospital standardised mortality ratios (HSMR) for all Scottish hospitals participating in the Scottish Patient Safety Programme. The calculation takes account of patients who died within 30 days from hospital admission.

The Scottish Government and members of the Strategic Islands Group published an Island Proofing Statement in December 2017, which can be viewed at https://beta.gov.scot/publications/planning-bill-islands-proofing-statement/ The statement emphasised the importance of ensuring the planning system is sufficiently flexible to allow for island circumstances to be taken into account. The statement will be updated and finalised following the conclusion of the Parliament’s scrutiny of the Planning (Scotland) Bill.

Councils are democratically elected independent bodies, that are accountable to their local electorate and it is for councils to determine how they prioritise their resources.
As a result, the review will take into account the experiences of the delivery of personal and social education in 55 schools including primary, secondary, special and early learning and child care centres across Scotland.
