*S5M-09231 Bob Doris: Partick Thistle s Charitable Trust Action on Homelessness That ’ — the Parliament commends the Patrick Thistle Charitable Trust for the community outreach work it does in the north Glasgow area; recognises that the trust utilises the club's exceptional reputation for being community minded and spirited, together with football as a key hook, to deliver quality coaching, health and wellbeing lessons, employability initiatives and diversionary and social s Awards inclusion programmes; welcomes the recent award of £9,734 from the Big Lottery Fund’ for All scheme, which will help to fund an ongoing programme that engages homeless people in weekly football and wellbeing sessions; understands that many who experience homelessness have multiple and complex needs, as well as not always having a positive experience with statutory services; believes that the welcoming and non-threatening reputation of Partick Thistle will help engage with those individuals who need help the most, and wishes the project every success at what is a particularly harsh time of the year for all those who are blighted by homelessness.
