The Committee also recognises the positive role that physical activity and social connections can have on mental health and endorses the Health and Sport Committee’s assertion made in its recent “Social prescribing of physical activity and sport” report that—

cross cutting work to ensure markets function or work on devolved regulation and legislation, transport preparedness and the rural economy.
Decisions on how this funding is spent is a matter for the SFRS Board and Chief Officer.Prevention activities are carried out by personnel at a range of levels and across Scotland and are not restricted to the Community Safety Advocate role.
