I highlight a project that is being undertaken in Aberdeen and which merits a mention. One of our duties as MSPs is to highlight positive examples from our areas.
We as a Parliament, a Government or individual MSPs can all ensure that we pay it, other parts of the public sector and the voluntary sector often pay it, and we can encourage other employers to pay it.
We have had success in Scottish airports from that, but we could do even better. As the MSP whose constituency includes Edinburgh airport, I believe that it is a driver for the economy.
Does the minister agree that my colleague Stuart McMillan MSP’s current bill to recover expenses from employers or their insurers for having exposed workers, their families or the public to the risks of these horrendous diseases is a very welcome step?
