Timber We do not routinely carry raw timber and do not have any specific guidance for its carriage other than core guidance from MGN 418 (M) Roll-on/Roll-off Ships: Stowage and Securing of Vehicles which should be read in conjunction with The Merchant Shipping (Carriage of Cargoes) Regulations 1999; MCA Roll-on/Roll-off Ships- Stowage and Securing of Vehicles Code of Practice. Timber shipments on NorthLink would predominately relate to sawn timber for the building and construction sector.
