Friday 5 October 2018 10 Today's Business Future Business Motions & Questions Legislation Other Gnothaichean an-diugh Gnothaichean ri teachd Gluasadan agus Ceistean Reachdas Eile Motions | Gluasadan Supported by: Monica Lennon*, Alexander Stewart*, Miles Briggs*, Jeremy Balfour*, Gordon Lindhurst*, Kenneth Gibson* *S5M-14217 Neil Findlay: Making a Mountain of Cash for Marie Curie That the Parliament — congratulates Nicola Cook from Bathgate on raising more than £5,000 for Marie Curie by climbing Ben Nevis; understands that Nicola lost a friend to cancer earlier in 2018 and wanted to support the charity that had helped her friend during this challenging time; acknowledges that she did the climb with her aunt and uncle, Angela and Gordon Raeburn, and that Angela is herself a cancer survivor who has been cancer-free for five years; recognises that the three of them embarked on their climb on 16 September and managed to reach between 800 and 900 metres up the 1,345 metre Munro before making their descent back down due to safety advice about the weather, and understands that, with determination, they plan to try again in 2019 and make it to the top.
