I have been a champion of that in my capacity as a constituency MSP. Carer positive recognises employers that have workforce practices that support people who are balancing care with work by providing flexibility to enable them to meet their caring responsibilities while retaining employment.
Tragically, suicide continues to impact all parts of society, so we all have a role to play in preventing suicide. That includes us individually as MSPs and collectively as a Parliament.
I am heartened to see that you are doing the session for MSPs tomorrow. I would like to see further iterations of the report, because it is so helpful.
I have raised that issue with DEFRA and with certain MSPs a few times. We always seem to get to the same standstill, which is that we are told to wait for the border trade operating model that is being introduced.
You very helpfully shared a paper with local MSPs. It was a finance report dated 30 January and said that the current forecast deficit was then estimated at £10.3 million.
As Bill Lobban touched on, there are many short-term lets across the country that do not pay anything in non-domestic rates because of the small business bonus scheme. Andy Wightman, the former MSP for Lothian, wrote a report in 2017—I apologise that I do not have any newer statistics.
