Of course I accept the need for such fees to be paid, but I am sure that I was not the only MSP—I feel it particularly as an Edinburgh MSP—to be shocked by the announcement this week that the University of Edinburgh would charge English students £36,000 for an honours degree.

There is nothing else that they can do.I think that Transport Scotland is still blind to the fact that that situation is an accident waiting to happen. As the local MSP, I, like many other people, suggest that we ought to solve the problem before the accident happens.
