Budget Scrutiny 2022-23 - Social Security
In 2022-23, the SFC forecasts that social security spending by the Scottish Government will exceed the value of the BGA received from the UK Government by £478 million. This gap is expected to grow by 2024-25 to £764 million, which the Scottish Government would need to source from elsewhere in its budget.
