An accountability framework is also yet to be concluded.
The inquiry focused on:
the support local authorities give to women leaving abusive relationships;
how rules and practices related to the public sector and social security take account of the financial issues women can face when leaving abusive relationships; and,
how much information and advice is available from public bodies and charities.
This Committee’s remit is currently set out under temporary Standing Order 4. This takes account of the post-EU landscape, and the fact that much of the remit of the mandatory Europe and External Affairs Committee is no longer relevant following the UK’s exit from the European Union.

Part 4 concerns the administration of the levy, and sets out how registration and accounting of the levy will be handled. This part also sets out exemptions to the buildings in scope of the levy.
Previously, the Scottish Government had recommended that the Parliament refuse consent to the Bill on account that it did not include any requirement that the Secretary of State consults with, or obtains the consent of, the Scottish Ministers before exercising the powers in the Bill to make provision within devolved competence.
