This substantially reduces the High Court capacity. from 16 trial courts to between 5 and 7 and assumes there will be an easing of physical distance after March 2021.
Smaller Juries - this model reduces the number of jurors from 15 to 7, maintaining physical distancing and reducing the accommodation requirements from three court rooms to two.
These would be calculated by a formula based on the number of seats and votes won, the details of which I should like to discuss further, with the parties opposite after the recess.
