A recent Effective Interventions Unit review of the effectiveness of treatment for opiate dependent drug users recommended that supervised buprenorphine administration should be piloted and evaluated to test the feasibility of wider prescribing and dispensing in Scotland. We are, however, supporting the SCOTS local road condition survey which will, over time, provide an accurate assessment of the condition of local authority roads across Scotland. Statistics on spending by local authorities on local roads are available in Scottish Transport Statistics.
