You have said encouraging things about schools, which I am sure you will share with MSPs more widely than in this committee, so that all of us can share and help promote those ideas to our constituents and, indeed, our schools.
Responsibility for that at the ministerial level sits with the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Fair Work and Culture, Fiona Hyslop MSP. She leads for the Government on major events, and how we proceed would be at her discretion and direction.
I know that some of the problems that many MSPs have come across have been about funding streams and the constant fight for funding that the third sector often raises with us.
We have to take into account the fact that we are not consumers—there is no such thing as a consumer. You might be an MSP who consumes, a father who consumes or a mother or father who buys things for their family.
