We had been campaigning for a children's and young people's commissioner for a long time, so the fact that support existed meant that much groundwork had already been done.The Commissioner for Children and Young People (Scotland) Bill was quite simple when one compares it with, for example, the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Bill from last year, or the Antisocial Behaviour etc (Scotland) Bill, which is being considered at the moment.
