Stage 1 Report on the Social Security (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill - Liability of representatives
The Cabinet Secretary explained that the Government has a duty to manage public funds responsibly and therefore recovering assistance given in error from the person who benefited from an overpayment is a reasonable measure but added that—
