Aside from those barriers to participation faced specifically by teenage girls, the inquiry also identified a range of barriers to participation in sport and physical activity that can affect women throughout their lives.

At its meeting on 21 March 2023, the Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee considered the following affirmative instrument:
