Stage 1 Report on the Social Security (Scotland) Bill - Terminal illness
The latter two also argued that the definition of “terminal illness” should not take account of life expectancy. The definition in the Welfare Reform Act 2012 is someone who "suffers from a progressive disease and the person's death in consequence of that disease can reasonably be expected within six months".
