It is very important to find out what matters to people and what they value to engage them in activities to become more active. • Although there was support for the standard, concern was expressed if there is a lack of resources (e.g. financial and staffing) to meet the standard, such as the creation of dementia wards and time for meaningful activities. • It was explained that staff should be provided with training, support and time to enable them to provide activities, and residents should be provided extra time to carry out the activities.
