I get the emails—I am sure that I am not getting as many as MSPs are—from older people who do not want the restrictions to be maintained for ever, because they are healthy and feel that they have contributions to make to the economy and their families.

In particular, efforts should be made to reduce the reoffending rate. In my role as an MSP, I have gone round the prisons, and I praise the Government for the successful prisoner support programme that has been introduced in some prisons in Scotland, notably Low Moss prison.
