To ask the Scottish Executive whether trials of the new combination drug to treat mesothelioma which are currently taking place in Newcastle will be extended to Scotland. The Chief Scientist Office (CSO) within the Scottish Executive Health Department is aware of 25 current studies into mesothelioma in the UK, none of which take place in Newcastle.
