However, I am not sure about that approach.At a local level, we have tried to integrate experience of work in a kitchen or restaurant, or behind reception. We do not bring people into what can be an artificial situation in a hotel school that is overstaffed, where the situation is not as harsh as it would be in real life.

All that is needed for a lawful marriage or civil partnership ceremony to take place in Scotland is the presence of five people: the registrar, the two parties to the marriage or civil partnership and two witnesses.

When I was at the offshore technology conference in Houston, Texas, I found that the delegates from Scotland were very receptive to it. It was particularly heartwarming to go to the all energy conference last week and find that people are migrating and diversifying from an oil and gas expertise base.

Since then, the number of remands per annum has doubled and the number of sentence receptions has stayed roughly the same, but the sentences are getting a lot longer.
